Newbies released!

First Devon and Cornwall have released the first two of the brand new Dennis Enviro 400s onto the Plymouth Park and Ride services today, both of them wearing the brand new corporate livery which has been so controversial among enthusiasts over the past few weeks, with much heated debate. I shall continue a full report on these buses in the very near future, but for now here is a photo taken at lunchtime today of SN12 AEK 33667 (although you couldn't tell what fleetnumber it was from that photo, the fleetnumber is far too small on the front!) passing through Milehouse. I've left the B6 in the background so that you can crudely compare the two liveries, hopefully a photo soon of the old and the new side by side for some better comparison though.

Its an abysmal livery, the lines between the 2 decks and the roof dont even line up properly. To think that this is a PLC and the poor livery design chosen goes to show how much flare worstgroup have!!
They should have employed Ray Stenning to design the livery, after all you have to speculate to accumulate. Bring back the clouds and blue sky on the old Enviros

These are not going to be in the area for long though... I predict that all of the Envios from Plymouth (old & new) will dissapear to London for the Olympics and will never make their way back down here after

The livery is actually quite clever! The lines between the two decks in fact mark out the shape of the First f symbol. So I don't see how you can say they don't have flare!!

Clever!!!!!! You are having a laugh, how many people have the time to try and make out the lines that make a very hard to find f. You need to get out more lol.

When compared with the stagecoach livery its is nowhere near as good or recognisable, bold colours stand out, this first livery will be lost in a crowd!

Indeed. The lines are not supposed to line up as they form the outline of the 'f'. It's amazing how few people have spotted this!
