420 hits the road

Plymouth Citybus has now put 420, the first of the Ex-London Volvos into service over the past few days, and has been sighted on the 26 and today photographed on the 34. The decker certainly does look smart in the new livery, with the digital blind finishing it off nicely. Apologies for the photo quality, it was a bit of a rushed photo taken on the phone! Hopefully she'll be out and about tomorrow, so that I can have a chance to sample this batch of B7s.

But that's not the only 420 back on the road! I'm delighted to say that David Sheppard's Bristol SU, 420 (270 KTA), has passed her MOT, and is now enjoying life on the roads of Devon once again. David has spent many many long hours beavering away at 420 to bring her back upto scratch. A lot of blood, sweat and no doubt, tears have gone into the project, so a big well done to David! I will therefore direct you once again over to www.270kta.blogspot.com so you can read about it, from the perspective of Dave himself. Its well worth a read, if you aren't already an avid reader! (Photo thanks to David Sheppard)

Saw 420 on the 43A today... Looking very good, but as with the Dart that has been re-branded, no room for external advertising.

As previously mentioned, on board advertising keeps fare prices lower.

I passed 420 on Tuesday last wek of June 2011.
And i thought she must be going on the road soon as PCB won't keep a perfectly good bus standing there. it cost to much.
Hope one day to see Enviro 400's in the PCB livery that would be a site!
